Danny Sangra is a visual artist and filmmaker, most recognised for his combination of organic "growths" and geometric patterns, as in ‘The Hills are Dead‘ limited edition print.
A graduate of Central St Martins, he first came to wider public attention years ago through his much sought after commercial murals.
His love of doing large scale commissions had led Danny to be wrongly associated with the graffiti scene with which he has only very tenuous links. He later became a member of Scrawl Collective - merging his unique style to their hybrid of street art, illustration and graphics.
However, the work closest to his heart is in fashion, and since then he has collaborated with Katie Hillier on print designs for Marc by Marc Jacobs, as well as numerous promotional videos for the likes of Diesel, Miu Miu, Balenciaga, Ermenegildo Zegna, Brioni, Carolina Herrera, Mytheresa, Vogue and even Mercedes.
His short films and his recently released feature 'Goldbricks In Bloom' have also been garnering much attention lately and have featured actors such as Jake Hoffman (The Wolf of Wall Street), Leo Fitzpatrick (Kids, The Wire), Carson Meyer (The Nice Guys), Adelind Horan (The Punisher, Wanderland), Tim Renouf (Genius - Nat Geo) and Margaret Clunie (Victoria - ITV) among others.
